Prayers does work.

Today I had a handy reminder of the power of prayer. The kids were ready for school and the only thing left to do was find the car keys. This was proving very elusive and quite a challenge. After 20 minutes of turning up the house and still no keys, I had become quite angry. The kids now running late for school were playing outside together and pretty oblivious to what was going on.
I decided it was time to pray and ask for the Lords help. I offered up a sincere and humble prayer asking for guidance to find the keys. As I finished praying I felt like I had been heard and that I would be guided to where they were. I continued looking around for the keys and was still having no luck. Then I heard Kembry call out "Dad I got something" I went outside to where the kids were playing and saw her standing there with keys in hand. I asked where she had got them from. She replied that she had found them in the bin. I couldn't believe what she was saying, so she showed me the outside rubbish bin where she had found them in. I immediately knew that the Lord had answered my prayer and guided us to where they were. I would never have looked in the bin, and was so grateful that my curious 5 year old daughter did.
And I pondered on the experience and gave thanks for that special blessing, I started to remember how last night I had cleared out the car and taken rubbish from the car and put it in the bin after returning home from Dad's Fathers day dinner, and how I couldn't find the keys to central lock the car so I did it manually seeing that the keys weren't in the ignition. I just assumed that I had taken them inside already. I must have dropped them in the bin with the rubbish I took there. Again it amazes me that my daughter not only thought to look in the bin which is bigger than she is, but that she also found them. Grateful for the Lord answering mine and my families prayers.
